Beaches around the Gedera

“Beaches are sometimes homesick for,,,” wrote the poet. From Gedera you can reach about 16 recognized and well-kept declared beaches, starting with the Rishon LeZion beaches in the north, through Palmachim Beach, and the Electric Company beaches, Mami, Lido, Separated, Marina, Hakshastot, Yod Alef, Antiquities Ashdod beach, Be’er Tovia beach in the heart of the dunes, the Nitzanim beach, The beaches of Ashkelon and all the way to Zikim in the south. This is when the nearest beach is a 15 km drive away and the farthest beach Zikim is a 35 km drive south. In addition, there are nice water reservoirs in the area to visit but not for bathing. These beaches join Israel’s beaches that are spread Along the Mediterranean Sea – 196 km, the shore around Kinneret – 56 km, the western coast of the Dead Sea – 40 km (within the limits of the green line) and the beaches of the Gulf of Eilat – 14 km. Most of the beach areas in Israel are publicly owned. The coasts of Israel excel in biotic diversity and unique natural systems, in impressive underwater landscapes with ecological and aesthetic values.
